You might be wondering—why Umbwella? Well, let me tell you how God led me to this name. When my daughter was pregnant, we were trying to pick a grandma name for me, but nothing felt quite right. One morning, as I was praying, I heard the word ‘umbrella.’ At first, I thought, ‘Lord, that’s a strange grandma name!’ But then He showed me—an umbrella is about coverage and protection, just like the role I would play in my grandson’s life. As I imagined how he might say it, ‘Umbwella’ came to life. And then God made it even bigger—this wasn’t just about me and my grandson. It was about standing in the gap for the next generation, covering them in love, prayer, and wisdom. That’s what Umbwella is all about—standing together for those we love, just like Jesus does for us.

Why Umbwella?

  • Umbwella’s Stand exists to support current and future missionaries by empowering followers of Jesus Christ to live in relationship with and operate in the full power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

    Luke 4:18-19

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.  He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

  • Umbwella’s Stand will:

    1. Glorify God through thoughts, words, and actions.

    2. Edify the Church by uniting like mindedness aligned with the Full Gospel.

    3. Produce theologically sound resources including original content that lead people to a more intimate relationship with the Lord, a greater presence of His Spirit in our everyday life and fruit of the healing power of Jesus.

    4. Provide holistic or whole support for missionaries called locally and globally.  This includes, but is not limited to:

      1. Stewardship of relationships by personally knowing missionaries and their families through regular communication, home visits, and prayer.

      2. Stewardship of finances through regular monthly support and funding special projects.

      3. Stewardship of ministry by playing a vital and yet supportive role in impacting the lives of those on the mission field.

    5. Luke 10:1-29

Supporting Missionaries

Umbwella’s Stand was created with a vision to holistically love and support current and future missionaries.  We are not just a monthly check, but we want to know & authenticate the missionary, the family, the ministry, and the people they serve.  Our goal is to visit them, encourage them, edify them and remind them that they are not forgotten regardless of where they live or how long they have been there. God loves missionaries and He invites us to be a part of their emotional, mental, physical, spiritual and fiscal support teams! You can partner with us by visiting, encouraging, texting, emailing or writing a check that helps us strategically contribute to their mission.  Pray about it and jump into our story as God leads you!  Our goal is to partner with one or more missionary families in a strategically complete way as well as many other trusted ministry partners every year.

Our Leadership

Our Beliefs

  • God is omnipotent and created the Heavens and the Earth. He is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  • Jesus is the Son of God and was born of a virgin. He came to Earth and lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and rose from the dead.

  • The Holy Spirit lives inside of us and is a comforter and guide for every born-again believer.

  • The Bible is the inspired word of God. It’s true, accurate, authentic, and infallible.

  • Salvation is a free gift, made possible because of God’s grace. Jesus’ death allows all our sins to be forgiven.

  • We’ve all sinned and fallen short. Our need for Him and each other is irrefutable.

  • We recognize marriage as the sacred union between one man and one woman, bonded in a lifelong covenant.

  • Jesus calls us to repent and be baptized. When we make Him Lord, we are a new creation.
